Let’s be honest, there are really only two reasons that anyone buys a house in Windfall. Either they have family and are from Windfall, or because the same house here would cost you a whole lot more somewhere else. but in this case, there is something else.
You won’t find some of the features of this house in most areas, like the unique bifurcated stairway that splits into two halfway down.
There is a rumor that the house was at one time used as a dentist office and one of the old chairs is in the basement still.
and then there are the crystal and original door knobs, and the mysterious red indicator light, no idea what it was used to indicate…
I have been told that the outhouse is still functional as well, but i have not tested it out. =)
of the more traditional things you would want to know, there are four bedrooms with one on the main floor.
Upstairs there are three more with a couple of bonus rooms too.
The kitchen is large with newer cabinets and a formal dining room.
The house is solid but i’m giving you a heads up. if you are afraid of painting and that type of work, or you have no imagination, don’t waste your time looking. it will take some elbow grease to get this place back to its former glory.
The porch is massive and a great spot to watch the spring storms and not get wet.
and there is a privacy fence around the back yard that needs a little work and a huge wheelchair ramp if you need it.
almost forgot to tell you, it has a full basement and a nearly new high efficiency furnace.
