Tear It Down? Or Not?
This place is 5 acres of mature trees rolling down a big hill to the edge of Mud Creek. The lot is vary rare in Tipton County, for the simple fact that it is not flat! And at the top of the hill is a large level area with an old house and a pole barn. The house has low ceilings and honestly, I’d probably tear it down and use the existing well and septic. But, maybe you are more ambitious than I am. It’s physically savable. Take a look and decide for yourself…
If you want to save the house, it’s about 2000 sq ft with an attached garage. There’s 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a huge eat-in kitchen and a big living room. The living room has a cool wood stove. There is also and enclosed front porch area. This place won’t qualify for FHA, VA, or any of those type loans. It will have to be cash or a conventional loan.
Be sure to watch the video below. It will give you a pretty good idea of the hills and the trees. There are paths mowed through the woods leading down to the creek. Down the hill is in the flood plain.
At the top of the hill is about 1 1/2 acres. It’s level, and not in the flood zone. The pole barn has a concrete floor and 3 garage doors in addition to the walk-in door. There is a steel carport too. There is even an old outhouse, no extra charge. =)
The price of this place is $189,900.
